The best option is to park at the DEC boat launch/ fishing area and boat upstream half a mile to the island. Overnight parking is allowed! Additional access points include a small town park across from the island on one side with a parking lot (no overnight parking so an arrangement would have to be made with neighbor), and there is a farmer's field on the other side. It's possible the farmer would grant permission to park along the river bank.The island itself is wooded with clearings providing a perfect blend of privacy and open space. There are some elevated areas that
